About Helen

Helen Mathieson MSc, BSc(Hons)Ost, BSc

Canine Osteopath

Helen is your friendly local osteopath, combining her extensive (20 plus years) experience with a friendly and professional approach to treatment.

Helen Mathieson

Helen graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1998 and worked in local Osteopathic practices in Northamptonshire before opening her own clinic in 2000. This practice grew from strength to strength, supporting three Osteopaths and was well known in the area, receiving referrals from the local GPs.

Helen relocated to West Sussex with her family in 2014 and took the opportunity to open a new local clinic, Wenham Osteopathy.

In more recent years her interest in using Osteopathy to help dogs has grown, stemming from helping her own Labrador recover from a forelimb lameness which did not seem to be responding to conventional methods. She completed the Canine foundation course in Animal Osteopathy at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone last year, and furthered her education in this field by completing the Stage II Canine Pathway at Plumpton College near Lewes with Animal Osteopathy International.

Prior to studying Osteopathy, Helen graduated from Bath University with a degree in Physics and subsequently studied for a Masters degree in Bioengineering at Strathclyde University.

Helen lives near Rogate with her husband and three children, and quite a collection of animals including including a Golden Retriever.
